Walked through an OpenGradient task earlier and one thing kept sticking with me after I closed the tab.
Not the verifiable inference narrative. The Model Hub.
Builders can publish models, set pricing, and make them available for verifiable AI inference. OpenGradient has already processed more than 2 million verifiable inferences, with over 2,000 models available from 100+ developers across the ecosystem.
What caught my attention is that the infrastructure for model distribution and inference already exists while some creator focused ownership and monetization features are still listed on the roadmap.
That creates an interesting dynamic.
The network is live. Models are live. Inference activity is live.
But the full creator experience is still evolving.
Most activity today appears to come from developers and infrastructure focused users integrating models programmatically. The broader wave of independent AI creators has not fully arrived yet.
Which leaves an important question:
When the remaining creator tools are released, does OpenGradient become a meaningful monetization layer for AI developers, or does it primarily strengthen the position of builders who are already active within the ecosystem?
Either way, the Model Hub feels like one of the more interesting parts of the network to watch as adoption develops.
