⚠️ SecondFi (formerly Yoroi Wallet) on Cardano Suffers Security Incident as Users Lose ADA
SecondFi — the rebranded version of Yoroi Wallet on Cardano — has reported a security incident affecting a small number of wallets on its platform.
🔸 According to the team, several platform functions have been suspended after detecting the vulnerability.
📉 On-chain data currently estimates losses at around 12 million ADA (~$2.4M USD) stolen from 178 wallets.
Affected users reportedly lost:
• ADA balances
• Native Cardano tokens
• NFTs
Some wallets were drained of more than 1 million ADA individually.
🛠️ Earlier today, the team moved the entire platform into maintenance mode and temporarily halted all interactions to prevent further damage from spreading.
⚠️ The incident once again highlights the growing security risks surrounding wallet infrastructure and smart wallet integrations across the crypto industry.
