@Walrus 🦭/acc Recently, Walrus has been showing up in places I didn’t expect not in headlines, but in quiet technical conversations. That usually tells me more than marketing ever does.

Built on Sui, the Walrus Protocol takes a deliberately modest approach to decentralized storage. Instead of reinventing data theory, it relies on erasure coding and blob storage to keep files private, resilient, and cheap enough to matter. Nothing flashy. Just systems that behave predictably.

Having watched storage networks struggle with incentives and overcomplex design, this simplicity feels intentional. Early usage suggests Walrus isn’t being treated as an experiment anymore, but as infrastructure worth testing under real load.

There are still uncertainties around long-term economics and governance discipline. But progress that looks quiet often turns out to be the most durable.
