To really get a token you need to know how many of them are there. The total number of tokens that exist and the number of tokens that people can actually use are important to know. The @Walrus 🦭/acc token has a limit of 5 billion WAL tokens that can ever be made. This means there will never be, than 5 billion WAL tokens.
The emission schedule is made to release these tokens over about 15 years. Most of the tokens are given to the ecosystem incentives, node rewards and the foundation. A big part of the tokens are released little by little over years. This means the tokens are released in a way over time which is good, for the ecosystem incentives the node rewards and the foundation.
The schedule is set up so that it starts with a lot of things happening at the beginning to get the network going..... As time goes on it slows down. This way the network can grow in a way that's good for it, in the long term and the token release happens at a pace that works well with this growth. The token release is meant to happen over a time and the network growth is supposed to be sustainable. The schedule is made to help the network grow in a way and the token release is a big part of this.#walrus $WAL
