@Walrus 🦭/acc has a way to control the amount of units in circulation. This is done by using two methods to get rid of some of the WAL units. The WAL system is designed to reduce the number of WAL units over time. This is what we call a model for WAL. The two main methods that WAL uses to burn units are important, for maintaining the balance of WAL in the system.

So when people use the system some of the storage fees they pay will be gone for good. The Walrus system gets rid of tokens that people spend on things like network operations and gas, within the Walrus system.

This makes a connection, between how useful the network's reducing the number of tokens available. The goal of the network utility is to balance out the tokens that are given out as rewards and incentives.
