U.S. SEC and CFTC to Sign Agreement on Cryptocurrency Regulation
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance coordination in regulating the cryptocurrency industry. According to NS3.AI, the two agencies are working together to define their supervisory roles and jurisdiction over crypto assets. Detailed plans regarding this collaboration will be unveiled at a joint event scheduled for January 30th.
