🙂 India’s largest importer has stopped buying Russian oil, Reuters reports.
Reliance Industries said it does not expect any Russian oil deliveries in January and has not received any for the past three weeks. The company also denied earlier media reports claiming that three tankers carrying Russian oil had arrived at its Jamnagar refinery.
As a result, India’s imports of Russian oil could fall to their lowest level in years. Analysts note that with Reliance halting purchases, India will further reduce Russian oil imports, leaving China as Moscow’s only major remaining export market.
