Most security compromises do not seem like a serious risk. They start with a desire to simplify actions, save time, or eliminate unnecessary steps. At the moment of decision-making, this seems reasonable and harmless.
Convenience works gradually. One small concession does not change the picture, nor does the second. But over time, such decisions accumulate into a system where the level of risk becomes higher than the user realizes. Security is eroded not sharply, but step by step.
