I can’t sleep and want to share my story as a warning to everyone. I also hope to get some advice, so please read it all! Limited words, so check out my posts one by one; this is a real experience.
I've been in the crypto scene since '24 as a typical noob. The reason I got into this space was that I stumbled upon a hot arbitrage game called BigTime. At first, I was making about 300 a day offline, then I joined a studio called the Ten-Year Guild that paid out based on profit sharing. When the coin price surged, I was raking in around 1000 a day for over a month. In just a few months, I made tens of thousands, which is insane compared to regular jobs. Plus, arbitrage with no upfront investment is low-risk. But human greed is limitless. If I could make so much from arbitrage, imagine how much I could earn from investing! So, I slowly started to explore the blockchain gaming sector, downloaded some coin tracking apps, and learned about the crypto market. After BigTime started to bear in March '24, our guild mentioned a new arbitrage game called SpaceNation, a space PvP and PvE game with a solid backing. The project raised several hundred million, led by Wu Jian, the former president of 360 Games and the distributor for Blizzard in China. After checking out his credentials and playing the game, I thought it was pretty good. Initially, the guild just wanted us to experience the game and see how we could start arbitraging. I guess we were among the first to get in. I compared it with what I had experienced with BigTime and thought, if I could make so much from arbitrage, investing would surely yield even more. So when the first NFT package dropped for over 10,000, I bought it right away. At one point, it shot up to 60,000, but I wanted to be a diamond hand and didn’t sell, holding onto it. I kept investing more into the game, even borrowing money to do so. At first, the game had a little hype, and if I had pulled out earlier, I could have made some cash. But I got greedy, and the game started to decline, yet I still didn’t realize it and kept borrowing to increase my position. Now, I’m stuck with worthless NFTs that were once worth over 300,000. This game has left me with 200,000 in debt. Honestly, after this investment failure, I thought about just giving up, but I couldn’t do that to my parents. 200,000—now I’m not even sure why I describe it as just that amount. Maybe I’ve read too many crypto success stories where 200,000 is pocket change, or I’m just trying to comfort myself by downplaying it. Haha. The game’s token, probably known by those playing Alpha on Binance, is called OIK. At the time, everyone expected a pump when it hit Binance Alpha, but it didn’t happen. That money is gone; it was my tuition for this lesson. I’m left with over 100,000 tokens I didn’t sell and a bunch of unsold NFTs, all now just bubbles. All that’s left is my debt and anxiety.
