Just keeping a record
This time, with 幣安 Launchpool's PORTAL new coin mining, I staked in both reward pools. Mainly using the BNB I had hoarded for mining, while FD was staked in a fixed amount, making it easier to calculate the actual yield from my participation.
I fixed stake 1086.7397 FDUSD and mined a total of 4.6859 $PORTAL.
After the Portal launch, the price in the first 10 minutes was pretty solid, but then it dropped to around 2.X. Calculating the yield, if I:
🔸 Sold at the closing price 5 minutes after launch
Yield = 1.356%, annualized rate ≈ 70%
🔸 Sold at the closing price 1 hour after launch
Yield = 1.128%, annualized rate ≈ 58%
🔸 Sold at the closing price on the same day
Yield = 1.035%, annualized rate ≈ 54%
I also calculated for BNB; if I use the final total staked amount, each BNB could mine about 2.38765 $PORTAL. Using the closing prices from the first five minutes and one hour, the yields were 1.81% and 1.51%, with annualized rates of about 94% and 78%, respectively.
I haven’t sold yet; I’m treating it as a freebie, but I was impressed to see some big players selling at 3.8 and 3.9.
