Why are you always losing money trading cryptocurrencies?
It's not that the market is tough; it's that with each trade, you're just going with your gut.
Essentially, you don't have a trading plan; you're just gambling.
I'm 30 this year, joined the space at 22, and I've stumbled into countless pitfalls.
But in 2024 and 2025, I gradually built up my capital, relying not on luck but on a very simple method that I consistently executed.
The core principle is simple: control yourself.
I will never go all in.
I enter with portions of my capital, leaving an exit strategy for each trade.
Mistakes won't cripple me; only correct trades give me the opportunity to amplify my profits.
Many people's issues lie here—
being too aggressive when winning and even more aggressive when losing, ultimately leading to their downfall.
The second key is to follow the trend.
The market is never about average opportunities; it's about the trend providing the money.
In an uptrend, you chase the pullbacks;
In a downtrend, you wait for the rebounds.
If the direction is wrong, no amount of skills will help.
Additionally, many people overlook this—
I almost never touch coins that have surged in the short term.
Whether it's altcoins or mainstream ones, once they rise too much in a short period,
it's highly likely that emotions are driving the price, not the structure.
If you gamble on that segment, you're basically betting on whether others can continue buying.
Technically, I only use the most basic tools.
For instance, MACD and the relationship between volume and price.
I pay special attention to breakouts on increased volume at low levels;
I start to reduce positions or even exit when there's increased volume at high levels with stagnation.
It's not complicated; the key is whether you follow the rules.
Another crucial element that many fail to do is reviewing.
Every week, I review my trades:
Are there any issues with my entry logic, or is my exit emotional?
Many people skip reviewing because they don't want to face their mistakes.
But if you don't look at the issues, they'll persist.
Ultimately, the crypto space isn't about who is smarter,
but rather who is more stable.
I don't profit from every trade,
but I rarely let a single trade ruin my overall rhythm.
If you're still losing money,
don't rush to find opportunities; first, ask yourself one question:
Do you have a set of trading rules, even if simple, that you can consistently execute?
If not, no matter how many trades you make, you're just repeating mistakes.
