Binance to Compensate Users After Platform Outage During Market Volatility Binance announced it will compensate some users who suffered losses during Friday night’s intense market volatility, which caused degraded performance on the exchange. Co-founder and chief customer support officer Yi He apologized on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that the issues stemmed from a surge in user activity amid sharp crypto price swings. “If you have incurred losses attributable to Binance, please contact our customer service to register your case,” Yi He wrote. “We will review your account activity individually, analyze the situation, and provide compensation accordingly.” Below is an example of how affected users can formally submit a compensation request to Binance Support: Dear Binance Support Team, I am writing to request a review of my recent futures account liquidation that occurred during the market volatility. At the time of the incident, I was unable to access my Binance account due to severe platform issues. Despite multiple attempts to log in, both the app and website were unresponsive, which prevented me from managing or closing my open positions in time. As a result, my entire futures balance was liquidated — a loss that occurred through no fault of my own. I have consistently practiced responsible trading and sound risk management; however, this loss was directly caused by system inaccessibility on Binance’s side. I kindly ask that you investigate this incident and consider compensation or recovery options, as the losses were due to platform unavailability rather than user error.
