1/ NEVER share your seed phrase ❌

No legit service will EVER ask for it
Scammers trick you with fake airdrops & tech support
If someone has your seed, they own your wallet

2/ Use a hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor, Keystone) 🔒

Cold wallets store keys offline, safe from hackers
Great for long-term storage of large amounts
Always buy directly from the manufacturer to avoid tampered devices

3/ Write down your seed phrase, don’t store it digitally ✍️

No screenshots, no cloud storage, no emails
Use pen & paper or metal backup plates
Store it in a safe or hidden location

4/ Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for exchanges 🔐

Always use Google Authenticator or Yubikey
SMS 2FA is weak (SIM swaps can bypass it)
Keep backup codes in a secure place

5/ Use a strong password manager for exchange logins 🔑

Random, long passwords (16+ characters)
Don’t reuse passwords from other sites
Bitwarden, 1Password, or KeePass are solid choices

6/ Beware of phishing attacks 🎭

Double-check URLs before logging in
Bookmark official sites
Never click random links in DMs/emails

7/ Test your seed phrase backup BEFORE you need it ✅

Set up a new wallet & restore using your backup
If it doesn’t work, you wrote it down wrong 😨
Fix mistakes while you still have access

8/ Consider a multi-signature wallet (for advanced users) ⚡

Requires multiple private keys to sign transactions
Great for extra security (but more complex)
Good options: Gnosis Safe, Casa, Unchained Capital

9/ Final rule: If you don’t control the keys, you don’t own the crypto 🔑

Self-custody = true ownership
Exchange wallets are at risk of hacks & freezes
Move assets to a secure wallet you control

Stay safe out there! 🛡️🚀
