After the $LIBRA scandal, the CNV imposes more requirements to operate in Argentina.

The National Securities Commission presented a new regulation this Thursday that will add an additional layer of requirements for the nearly 140 crypto companies that are already registered with the agency and operate in the country.

Through General Resolution 1058, the CNV seeks to "ensure transparency, stability, and protection of users in the crypto ecosystem, imposing obligations regarding registration, cybersecurity, asset custody, money laundering prevention, and risk disclosure."

This new regulation imposes requirements on companies that want to register to operate in the country. Those who do not meet the stipulated requirements and deadlines will not be able to operate in Argentina.

The general director of Bitso in Argentina commented: We value any regulatory effort that seeks to bring clarity and security to the crypto ecosystem in Argentina.

Currently, we are being discriminated against compared to other fintechs, which puts the crypto industry at a disadvantage and hinders its growth potential in Argentina
