God surrounds us every day with thousands of abundant blessings, and with countless graces that have no number. Yet life distracts us from the virtue of gratitude and praise. If a person reflects on the favors of his Lord, he becomes more aware of his own shortcomings, and it becomes clear to him that he is in need of Him in all aspects of his life. Thus he increases in supplication, hope, gratitude, and praise of God… and God will reward the grateful.
