🔒 Details of the Recent Freeze

According to reports from Crypto.news and Yahoo Finance, Tether has frozen approximately 13.4 million dollars in USDT distributed across 22 addresses on the Ethereum and Tron networks.

This decision came after collaboration with law enforcement agencies, as part of the company's efforts to curb illegal activities and the use of stablecoins in suspicious operations.

Earlier this year, Tether also froze more than 44 million dollars at the official request of Bulgarian authorities, as part of investigations into financial violations and the illegal use of digital assets.

🧩 Why Does Tether Freeze Assets?

Tether is considered one of the leading companies that cooperate with regulatory bodies, as it has the technical capability to freeze any USDT present on supported networks (such as Ethereum and Tron).

This freezing usually occurs in cases of criminal investigations or court orders.
