Sometimes people suddenly become quiet.
It's not that they don't want to speak, nor that they have no emotions,
it's just that they suddenly feel that many things no longer need to be explained.

I used to think that life was about gradually moving towards a "better" outcome.
Earning more money, standing in a higher position, being recognized by more people.
It seemed that only in this way could it be said that the journey was not in vain.

But later I realized,
what truly exhausts people is never the things themselves,
but that constant state of wanting to "prove something."

You unconsciously compare yourself with others,
you care about how fast others are moving, how much they earn, how well they are doing.
Clearly, everyone's path is different, yet you always want to measure with the same yardstick.

Slowly, you start to lose your rhythm.

In fact, many things could have been approached lightly.
It's just that we ourselves have added too much weight to them.

Some choices, which seemed wrong at the time,
but without that segment, you might never stop to think:
what exactly are you chasing.

In this life, it's easy to stray off the path,
but what’s truly frightening is not straying,
but continuing on without ever questioning the direction.

So sometimes, slowing down a bit, or even stopping,
can actually be a form of clarity.

It's not retreating, nor is it giving up,
but rather you begin to learn to shift your attention back from the outside world,
and focus on yourself.

You start to care less about winning,
and fear losing less.

Because you gradually understand,
many results are merely temporary.
Today's gains and losses, when viewed over a longer period,
are actually just a small part.

What will truly remain is you as a person.

Have you become more stable,
do you have a clearer understanding of what you want,
do you still manage to hold onto some bottom line in chaotic times.

These things are invisible to others,
yet they will help you make choices at many critical moments.

In the end, you will find that
life is not as complicated as you imagined,
it's just that we initially thought about it too forcefully.

When you no longer cling to every step being "correct,"
it actually becomes easier to carve out a path that belongs to you.

That path may not be fast,
nor will it necessarily be understood by everyone,

but when you walk on it,
your heart is at peace.
