【The UK's Financial Conduct Authority Files Lawsuit Against HTX in Cryptocurrency Crackdown】Golden Finance reports that the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has intensified its enforcement actions against unregistered cryptocurrency exchanges, issuing warnings to hundreds of companies and filing lawsuits against one of the largest offshore platforms in the sector. This crackdown comes in the context of the regulator's repeated warnings over the past few months that many firms are providing services to UK customers without proper authorization.

In October this year, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) identified dozens of platforms as key areas of focus, including Elite Bit Markets, Nexure Gainbit, Plux Crypto, and the previously named Huobi exchange HTX. The agency stated that many of the targeted companies have promoted cryptocurrency products or services to UK residents without completing registration under UK anti-money laundering regulations.

This Tuesday, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) confirmed that it has filed a lawsuit against HTX for promoting cryptocurrency trading services to UK users. A spokesperson for the agency stated: "We have seen many cryptocurrency companies respond positively to our financial promotion regulations; however, if we find companies engaging in violations, we will take action without hesitation."
