I don't understand why it has dropped like this! The China-U.S. negotiations are going quite smoothly!
I checked the news.
The BBC news says:
◆ Trump claims the China-U.S. talks are "stunning."
◆ The university states that "the two sides have reached a consensus on major trade issues."
◆ The university agrees to suspend regulations on rare earths.
◆ Trump says he has urged the university to immediately start buying large quantities of soybeans and other agricultural products.
◆ The U.S. will cancel some of the previously imposed tariffs. Other tariffs will continue. This means that the university's exports to the U.S. still have a tariff rate of over 40%. (Previously it was over 50%)
◆ Trump has announced a visit to China in April next year.
The university's Ministry of Foreign Affairs states:
The relationship between China and the U.S. remains generally stable.
The university will host the APEC summit in 2026, and the U.S. will host the G20 summit next year. Both sides can support each other.
Although it is said that they are not shaking hands to make peace, they have basically transitioned from a tense standoff to "turning swords into plowshares."
