Bitcoin rose on the news🔥

The price of bitcoin increased by about 4.5% over the past day — from $101,000 to $106,000. The entire market rose with it, and the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies increased from about $3.4 trillion to $3.54 trillion.

The rise coincided with a number of news items from the USA:

▫️ Donald Trump promised to pay every American, except for high-income individuals, at least $2,000 from funds received by the USA from customs duties.

Such stimulus payments have previously been viewed as a factor for growth in the crypto market during previous cycles, including the payments made to US citizens in 2020.

▫️ The US Senate approved a bill for temporary government funding that will allow the shutdown, which has lasted for 40 days, to end. The document will be sent to the House of Representatives and must then be signed by the president.

▫️ Acting Chair of the CFTC Caroline Pham stated that the agency is preparing to launch leveraged spot crypto products in conjunction with registered platforms.

The launch could be as soon as next month. The project involves CME, Cboe, ICE (operator of NYSE), Coinbase Derivatives, and others.
