Michael Saylor's Strategy Inc may be excluded from indices such as MSCI USA and Nasdaq 100. JPMorgan has stated that if MSCI proceeds with the plan, it could trigger passive fund outflows of up to $2.8 billion.
If other index providers follow suit, the impact will widen. Currently, passive funds linked to Strategy have contributed nearly $9 billion in market exposure. The relevant decision is expected to be made by January 15.
