Sounds a bit harsh, but I think this is the truth.
Every day I see a ton of people opening nodes, checking scores, completing tasks, and sharing referrals.
But when asked:
"#OpenLedger what problem is this solving?"
Very few people can answer that.
This isn't just happening with OpenLedger, but with most airdrop projects these days.
We spend hundreds of hours hunting for rewards but less than 10 minutes understanding the product.
Meanwhile, what gets me hyped about $OPEN isn't the score or the airdrop.
It's a bigger question:
Will AI in the future continue to be controlled by a handful of companies that own the data and computing resources?
Or will a more open model emerge, where the community can contribute data, infrastructure, and collectively benefit from the development of AI?
That's the vision that OpenLedger is chasing.
They might succeed.
They might fail.
But at least they're trying to tackle a real problem instead of just launching a token and spinning a nice narrative.
And sometimes, the projects that create real value are the ones that the market overlooks for the longest time.
The question is:
Are you in OpenLedger because you believe in the future of decentralized AI, or are you just waiting for an airdrop?
