Near Project is a Great Achievement 🔥
+One million transactions per second thanks to the new version of the project's unique hashing algorithm, NightShade 2.0.
This number was achieved using only 70 Shards, thus the blockchain's capacity for expansion by increasing the number of Shards is unlimited.
The hardware used is standard hardware of the common type, nothing extraordinary, which means that this number can be achieved while maintaining the decentralization of the network and without the need to rely on central servers.
The thing I would have liked to see in the experiment is the inclusion of smart contract transactions, as the experiment was conducted only on currency transfer transactions. Smart contracts require longer processing times, but this does not detract from the achievement of the Near project.
The NightShade 2.0 algorithm enables the network to process blocks in 600 milliseconds and complete transactions in 1.2 seconds.
