But that is also bringing different investment results, with leverage, high valuations and funding concerns among the factors that have hurt various corners of the crypto markets. "Investment vehicles for bitcoin have exploded across both retail and institutional markets, fundamentally expanding access,” said John D’Agostino, head of strategy at Coinbase Institutional. However, “the nuances matter in terms of how people want to express leverage and to what degree they want to hedge their exposure.”

Among global peers, markets across the Asia-Pacific region were mostly lower on Wednesday as investors assessed newly released trade data from Japan. Japan’s exports rose 6.1 per cent year on year in November, beating economists’ expectations of a 4.8 per cent increase, according to a Reuters poll, and accelerating from October’s 3.6 per cent growth. Despite the stronger data, Japan’s Nikkei 225 slipped 0.14 per cent. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 also edged down 0.21 per cent, while South Korea’s Kospi bucked the regional trend, rising 0.5 per cent.

#BSE The benchmark Indian equity indices Sensex and Nifty closed in red territory on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The BSE Sensex, after hitting an intraday low of 84,620.61, ended the session at 84,679.86, down 533.50 points or 0.63 per cent. The NSE Nifty50 settled at 25,860.10, down 167.20 points or 0.64 per cent. During the day Nifty50 swung between 25,980.75 and 25,834.35. Sensex and Nifty opened in red today. The BSE Sensex started at 85,025.61, while the Nifty 50 opened at 25,951.50.

#nse India's equity benchmarks ended little changed on Monday, in line with the muted moves over the last two weeks, as foreign outflows and ongoing uncertainty surrounding a potential trade deal with the U.S. dampened sentiment. The Nifty 50 (.NSEI),fell 0.08% to 26,027.30 points and the BSE Sensex (.BSESN), lost 0.06% to 85,213.36. The rupee hit another record low at 90.785 per dollar.
