"Ripple, Circle get conditional approvals for national bank charters by OCC"
Five digital firms including Ripple, Circle, and Fidelity Digital Assets were given conditional approvals for the national trust bank charters by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) on Friday, as per an official release.
These approvals effectively absorb the entities into the federal banking system, allowing direct access to the Fed’s payment systems and rendering state regulation null and void.
