Pakistan has emerged among the world’s first three countries to adopt cryptocurrency, according to Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Blockchain and Crypto, Bilal Bin Saqib.
He said nearly 30 to 40 million Pakistanis are already engaged in crypto activities, making regulation essential.
The government has introduced a transparent and structured framework to align with global standards. Bilal added that digital assets and blockchain technology will help strengthen economic independence and support industries in the coming decade.
