Bitcoin ($BTC /$USD1 ) Technical Analysis - December 16, 2025
Hey guys, quick TA update on $BTC as we're midway through December.
Bitcoin is currently trading around $88,500, after a pullback from the all-time high of ~$126,200 hit back in October. We've been in consolidation mode for weeks now, with price bouncing off the mid-$86k area multiple times. Volume has been moderate on recoveries, but overall range-bound as the market digests the correction and waits for fresh catalysts.
Daily Chart Breakdown:
Sitting just above key support at $86,000 - $87,000 (recent lows and approximate 61.8% Fib retracement from the post-ATH rally attempts). This zone has held firm so far โ bulls defending it well.
Immediate resistance at $90,000 - $91,000, with a bigger overhead at $93,000 - $94,000 (previous swing highs and 50% Fib level).
RSI on daily hovering around 48-50 โ neutral territory, not oversold but with upside potential if we get a momentum shift.
MACD flattening out, possible bullish crossover if we push past $91k with conviction.
Bigger picture remains bullish long-term โ this feels like normal profit-taking and consolidation after the massive 2025 run-up. Institutional flows (ETFs, corporate buys) are still supportive underneath.
Bullish Scenario: Break and daily close above $91k-92k opens the path to $94,000-96,000 fast, with extensions toward $100k psych level and potentially $105k+ by year-end on renewed strength.
Bearish Scenario: Loss of $86k support targets $83,000-84,000 next (deeper Fib and prior lows). Below there could see $80k, but not my base case yet with current holding.
Leaning cautiously bullish โ watching for upside breakout this week. Volatility is still elevated, so manage risk.
What do you think? Bullish on a push higher or expecting more chop?
