Quiet but important shift.

On Dec. 16, capital flowed out of BTC and $ETH spot ETFs, while $SOL and $XRP quietly saw inflows.

BTC: -$277.09M

ETH: -$224.26M

SOL: +$3.64M

XRP: +$8.54M

This isn’t about headline numbers. It’s about direction.

Bitcoin and Ethereum bleeding while smaller majors attract marginal inflows tells you positioning is changing at the edges. Risk isn’t leaving crypto entirely, it’s rotating.

That usually happens when:

BTC is late in a move

ETH is consolidating

• Traders start probing for relative strength elsewhere

SOL and XRP inflows are small, but they matter because they happen while the big two are seeing consistent outflows. That divergence is often an early signal, not a late one.

Doesn’t mean instant upside.

Doesn’t mean full altseason.

But it does suggest capital is starting to look beyond BTC and ETH again, even if cautiously.

Something to keep an eye on.
