Binance to Suspend Terra Classic Network Transactions for Upgrade
Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has announced a temporary suspension of deposits and withdrawals on the Terra Classic (LUNC) network to support an upcoming network upgrade. Such suspensions are standard practice to ensure user funds remain safe while technical changes are implemented on a blockchain.
Terra Classic is the original Terra network that continued operating after the 2022 collapse of TerraUSD and LUNA. The upgrade is aimed at improving network stability and functionality, which could support long-term maintenance of the ecosystem.
From a money supply and liquidity perspective, the temporary halt may reduce short-term LUNC movement and trading flexibility, slightly tightening circulating liquidity. However, once the upgrade is completed and transactions resume, improved network reliability could restore confidence and support smoother token flows across the market.
