Tether's XAUT and Paxos' PAXG are leading the market, with XAUT's market cap around $2.24 billion and PAXG's approximately $1.5 billion, together accounting for about 89% of the market share. Each XAUT and PAXG token is backed by a 1:1 reserve of physical gold.

Market data shows that spot gold has increased by about 1.1% within the day, currently priced at $4,326.5 per ounce. At the beginning of 2025, spot gold was valued at $2,624 per ounce, reflecting a nearly 65% increase over the year.
