🚨 Yearn Finance Hack: Hacker Withdraws $300,000 through Old Vault V1

The well-known crypto project Yearn Finance has once again fallen victim to an attack. This is the second incident involving the project this December.

What Happened?

The attacker found a vulnerability in a very old contract (version V1), which is almost not used anymore. They used a complex scheme with loans to artificially inflate the value of their assets, quickly resold them, and withdrew a net profit — 103 ETH (about $300,000).

Is There a Reason to Panic?

The project team reassures: the problem only concerns the outdated iEarn vault. All new versions of the protocol are functioning smoothly, and your funds in modern vaults are safe.

This is a good reminder for all of us: old smart contracts can hide risks that everyone has already forgotten about.
