When Aave was established, the entire DeFi landscape was not even 1 billion USD. To date, Aave alone has processed over 3.3 trillion USD in deposits and nearly 1 trillion USD in loans.
The year 2025 marks the biggest turning point, with Aave reaching 75 billion USD in net deposits, holding nearly 60% of the DeFi lending market share and generating about 900 million USD in fees – more than the total of the next five competitors combined.
More importantly, this is not just a “showcase” TVL, but real revenue, large enough to implement buybacks for the AAVE token.
