From time to time, I’m asked if I can teach people to trade crypto or help them start earning from trading. My answer is almost always the same—no. And there are several solid reasons for that.
First of all, trading is an activity with a very high level of risk. Statistics show that most traders ultimately lose their funds. Many beginners only see success stories, but they underestimate possible losses and the psychological pressure.
Second, no trader knows with 100% certainty where the market will move. Even after careful technical and fundamental analysis, we can only estimate probabilities. If the analysis gives a 70–80% chance of success, that’s already a very good result. But even in that case, the market may go in the opposite direction.
Second, a successful trader makes money primarily through trading, not by selling training. Ongoing market analysis, searching for entry points, risk management, and working with positions take a lot of time. That’s why, in most profitable traders, there’s simply no opportunity to run full-fledged training courses.
Unfortunately, today it’s often possible to see a situation where a person’s main income comes from selling training, not from the results of their own trading. This doesn’t mean that all courses are bad, but it’s worth always asking yourself: if someone is so successful at trading, why does their main focus become selling training?
I guess, the most important reason for me is human relationships. If someone starts trading based on my advice and loses money—whether due to their own mistakes or due to the market’s unpredictable behavior—responsibility is very often placed on the person who taught or recommended it. I don’t want to risk friendship or good relationships because of financial losses.
That’s why I’m happy to discuss the market, share my own opinion, or my views on certain events, but I don’t take responsibility for teaching anyone to trade. Anyone who comes to financial markets should independently understand all the risks and make their own decisions.
The market always offers opportunities, but it doesn’t forgive carelessness.
