In ten years of the cryptocurrency world, from 25 to 35 years old, I have witnessed the noise and silence of cycles, as well as walked countless paths that many have looked up to and sighed over. Some have asked me if I really made money—frankly speaking, from 2020 to 2022, my account number once broke into eight figures. Now, facing life, I have gained a sense of composure: staying in a hotel that costs two thousand yuan a night, I no longer hesitate; the time and rhythm are also arranged by myself.
Many have asked me what the secret to my success is. It is not talent, nor can it be said to be luck, but rather a strategy I call the "343 Stage Investment Method." It may sound simple, even somewhat "clumsy," but it is precisely this method that has paved a smooth path for me amidst fluctuations, helping me navigate the ups and downs of bull and bear markets.
Take Bitcoin, in which I have long invested, for example. I always layout according to the following rhythm:
Step 1: 30% position size, testing the waters
If the total planned investment is 120,000, in the first step I only use 30%, which is 36,000. With a light position, my mindset remains stable, and the risk is completely controllable. I do not pursue a guaranteed hit, but rather aim to stay in the market and feel the temperature of the trend.
Step 2: 40% position size, phased layout
If the market rises, I will patiently wait for a pullback, adding in phases; if it falls, I will add 10% for every 10% drop until this 40% of funds are fully invested. This way, regardless of how the market fluctuates, my holding cost tends to be rational, avoiding early heavy positions and preventing being thrown off the trend.
Step 3: 30% position size, trend following
Only when the trend is clear and the direction is established will I use the final 30% of my funds to increase my position in the direction of the trend, allowing profits to truly run, rather than merely being on paper.
This method is neither stimulating nor mysterious. But the most challenging aspect of the market has never been finding the "Holy Grail," but rather whether one can restrain their greed and adhere to discipline. I have seen too many people eager to double their money overnight, only to be devoured and wiped out by market fluctuations.
I have always believed that slow is fast, and stability can go far. If you are also looking for an investment approach that does not rely on luck, but rather on rhythm, system, and discipline, perhaps we can walk a journey together. True market opportunities will never disappoint those who respect the rules and patiently layout their strategies.
