Oscar Token announced that the Shiba Token has deviated from its path after
Promoting the external Hachi Token.
A account highlighted the launch of the Solana Token, emphasizing the similarities in the contract identifiers.
A specialized channel for combating fraud on the Sosparium platform clarified that the Shiba Token lacks the attribute of official affiliation with the ecosystem.
A project affiliated with the Shiba Inu ecosystem publicly criticized the @shibtoken account after it promoted an external cryptocurrency. Oscar Token joined other community members to express their dissatisfaction with the account's recent activity.
The account @shibtoken, followed by 3.9 million people, retweeted a tweet on November 2 from HACHI, a cryptocurrency built on the Solana platform. The original tweet announced a new smart contract address starting with x95HN. The promotion highlighted the visual similarities between the HACHI contract ID and the Shiba Inu contract address starting with 0x95.
A new pattern for the external promotion of cryptocurrencies
The post included images of two dogs representing Hachiko and Shiba Inu, suggesting a connection between the two projects. In response, Oscar Token stated that the account no longer reflects the original values and vision of the SHIB ecosystem. Oscar wrote: “This is no longer SHIB; it has completely lost its way.”
This indicates a continuous pattern for the @shibtoken account. In November 2024, the account teased a partnership with Shiro Niko, a cryptocurrency inspired by cats, after this project burned over 5 billion SHIB. By December 2024, @shibtoken promoted a dual staking program for Shiro Niko allowing users to stake SHIRO coins for SHIB rewards.
These promotional campaigns led many community members to consider Shiro Niko an official project of the ecosystem. However, the 'Susbarrium' channel, which focuses on community fraud alerts, objected to this interpretation, emphasizing that there is no connection between Shiro Niko and Shiro Niko.
Susbarrium clarified that the @shibtoken account does not represent the official platform of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The channel urged users not to consider any promotional campaign from this account as an official endorsement of the ecosystem. Despite these warnings, @shibtoken's posts still hold significant influence.
The account launched in February 2021, presenting itself as the official platform for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Active members of the Shiba Inu community make up the majority of its 3.9 million followers. Initially, the account served as the primary source for ecosystem announcements, establishing a precedent where followers interpreted its posts as implicit endorsements.$ETH
