Does the quantum threat really exist?
In the face of the potential risks that quantum computers may pose to blockchain security, Solana and Aptos have begun to protect their networks.
Solana has partnered with the security company Project Eleven to deploy a testnet using quantum-resistant signature technology to test secure transactions without impacting the network.
Aptos recommends adding optional quantum-resistant signatures for users who require higher security but want to retain existing systems.
Although quantum computers have a long way to go before they can disrupt blockchains, major blockchains are proactively preparing to avoid being caught off guard in the future.
