You guys should never directly copy addresses from the most recent transaction for transfers... Today was another profound lesson: a giant whale/institution lost 50 million USDT due to a similar address phishing...
1⃣10 hours ago, he withdrew 50 million USDT from Binance and then tested the transfer to the address he planned to send it to with 50 USDT.
2⃣Here’s the key point: The phisher generated a similar address with the same first and last 3 characters and sent him 0.005 USDT. Then when he made the official transfer, he must have copied the address directly from the most recent transaction record, and all 50 million USDT went straight to the phisher's generated similar address...
3⃣The phisher quickly exchanged the 50 million USDT for DAI (to prevent it from being frozen), and then bought it all into 16,624 ETH. Then all these ETH were washed away through Tornado.
