#ElonMusk (the guy behind #Tesla cars, SpaceX rockets, and X/Twitter) just became the richest person EVER with a net worth of about $749 billion (that's almost $750 billion dollars! )
.Why did it jump so high right now?
.A few years ago (in 2018), Tesla promised Elon a huge bonus: tons of company stock options if he made Tesla grow a lot.
.He did – Tesla became way bigger!
.But a court canceled that bonus last year, saying it wasn't fair.
.Yesterday (Dec 20, 2025), the highest court in Delaware said "Nope, give it back to him." That bonus is now worth around $139 billion because Tesla's stock is super high..Adding that in pushed his total wealth over $700 billion for the first time in history.
.Before this, he was already over $600 billion thanks to SpaceX doing great too.
Crazy, right? No one has ever been this rich before. Most of his money is from owning big parts of his companies (mostly Tesla and #SpaceX ), not cash in the bank.
