🚀🚀Just now, the Ethereum Foundation suddenly changed direction: no longer stubbornly pursuing speed, but putting security first. By 2026, all zkEVMs must meet the 128-bit security standard—those that do not will be eliminated.
Why? Because they found that some zkEVMs, in pursuit of speed, used unverified mathematical methods. It’s like installing an unstable engine in a car to speed it up; it might go fast, but you can’t be sure when it will explode.
So now, they have set strict rules:
1. All mathematical assumptions must be thoroughly verified
2. Security strength must reach 128 bits
3. Review tools will be pushed out next year; those who do not meet standards will not be approved
