⚠️ SCAM ALERT: OKX Account Rental Scheme
I saw this on Douyin—someone DM’d my friend about a “part-time job”: ¥200/day + food + housing. All you do is hand over your $OKX login + Alipay, then sit in a room and do face scans.
Sounds easy? It’s a federal crime.
I checked with a lawyer—this is textbook “aiding information network crime” (helping cybercrime). Minimum 2 years in prison. It doesn’t matter if you “didn’t know” what they used your account for. The moment you rent it out, you’re liable.
I don’t know whether $OKX itself is compliant or not, but clearly enough people are using it for shady stuff that this scam even exists.
Don’t be the exit liquidity for someone else’s money-laundering operation.
