Washington just made a move crypto has been waiting for. Max Miller and Steven Horsford unveiled a draft bill called the Digital Asset PARITY Act â and for once, it actually targets real pain points.
The biggest unlock? Stablecoins used for payments wouldnât trigger capital gains taxes, clearing a massive barrier to everyday crypto usage. On top of that, staking and mining rewards would only be taxed when sold, not when received â bringing crypto in line with traditional asset treatment. The bill also tightens definitions and reporting rules, cutting down legal gray zones that have scared institutions for years.
