The National Pension Fund has announced significant structural reforms that will take effect in December 2025🗓️:
New Withdrawal Rules: Private sector employees will have more flexibility in their withdrawal methods👷🏻♂️👨🏻🏭, allowing them to withdraw up to 80% of their funds at once (previously 60%), while only needing to retain 20% of their funds for a lifelong annuity👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.
Extended Age: Insured individuals can now remain in the system and delay their withdrawal age to 85 years old🥳🎉.
Investments: Guidelines have been updated to allow retirement funds to invest in gold💛, silver🩶, and a broader range of assets. Investing in Nifty 250 index constituents to enhance long-term returns🤑💰💲🙌.
