The main reason for the losses in the early stage was the wrong choice of targets. I continued my usual trading habit of preferring altcoins, but recently there hasn't been much bullish momentum. Additionally, the low liquidity of small-cap altcoins on Aster has resulted in very high slippage when entering and exiting positions, so I have been in a state of loss.
Around the tenth day of the competition, when I closed my last position on the 4x long of the altcoin SUI, I incurred a loss of as much as 6500u. Looking at the remaining 2400u in my account, I began a do-or-die battle. At the point where Ethereum reached a recent low, I directly used 50x leverage to go long. With a wave of recovery and rebound in Ethereum, my account balance tripled to over 7000u. I must say, the liquidity of mainstream coins is still very good, and the execution is very smooth.
At this point, I found the correct way to play the game. To come up with results in a short time, one has to use high leverage to trade mainstream coins. This is closer to gambling; either you make it big or you get liquidated. During these days of high-leverage trading, I faced liquidation multiple times. Thanks to identifying the correct direction and a lot of luck, I finally achieved a positive return.
There are only 2 days left in the competition, and I am also prepared to stop trading. I am very satisfied with my current profits. With a capital of 10,000u, I am now up by over 5700u. This is the second point I want to tell everyone: know when to stop, take profits and secure them. Many people have made money in this market, but they failed to hold onto it. This line is very hard to grasp; knowing when to push and when to stop requires personal insight.
Don't mistake luck for skill. Failing to recognize your own results is the beginning of self-destruction.
