From January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2025, records of overdue amounts not exceeding 10,000 yuan that are cleared before March 31, 2026, will be removed from the credit reporting system. The policy will be uniformly handled by the Credit Reference Center of the People's Bank, requiring no individual application, and is expected to be implemented in batches starting in 2026.
In addition, from January 1 to June 30, 2026, individuals can freely query their credit reports from the financial credit information database twice a year, and additionally, they can query their credit reports for free twice more.
