CZ PROJECTIONS OF A CRYPTO MARKET SUPERCYCLE BY 2026
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has stated that the cryptocurrency market could enter a powerful “supercycle” by 2026, potentially breaking away from the traditional four-year boom-and-bust rhythm that has historically been tied to Bitcoin halving events. Speaking at the Bitcoin MENA Conference in Dubai-December 2025, CZ explained that several structural changes in the global financial system are aligning in a way that could support a much longer and more sustainable growth phase than seen in previous cycles.
According to CZ, expanding global liquidity, combined with strong institutional participation through spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, is fundamentally reshaping market dynamics. These ETFs are helping to normalize crypto exposure among large financial institutions, pension funds, and asset managers, providing steady inflows rather than short-term speculative surges.
He also highlighted the rapid rise of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, which is bringing traditional assets such as bonds, real estate, and commodities onto the blockchain. In addition, Layer-2 scaling solutions are significantly improving transaction speed and reducing costs, making blockchain networks more practical for everyday use. CZ further emphasized the growing convergence of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, noting that AI-driven applications could accelerate innovation, efficiency, and adoption across the crypto ecosystem.
According to him, these combined developments could sustain bullish momentum far beyond typical market cycles, reducing the sharp downturns seen in the past. If these trends continue, the crypto market may be entering a new era—one defined by multi-year expansion, deeper institutional integration, and widespread real-world utility across digital assets.
