In Web3, there are too many smart people, but too few projects willing to put in this kind of dumb effort to build a real social graph. This "irrational" persistence is precisely its most terrifying moat. When the tide goes out, the false prosperity supported by scripts will dissipate, but this network rooted in real interpersonal relationships, once established, is hard to pull out.
