I’ve been thinking about something for a while now.

Everyone talks about AI agents as if they already live in the future.

Autonomous systems. Self-executing logic. Software that can decide, act, and adapt without human intervention.

But when you zoom out, something feels off.

AI can reason.

AI can plan.

AI can even negotiate.

Yet when it comes to value, it still behaves like a child asking an adult for permission.

Can I pay for this?

Can I access that?

Can I settle this transaction?

This is the layer most systems ignore.

Sessions represent temporary authority.

If something goes wrong, damage is contained.

In my opinion, this is where Kite shows maturity.

Let’s be honest.

This is hard.

Agent systems fail in weird ways.

Security assumptions break.

Human oversight is still required.

There will be mistakes.

There will be edge cases.

There will be uncomfortable lessons.

But avoiding the problem doesn’t make it go away.

AI is not slowing down.

And pretending it doesn’t need economic agency is naive.

Final Thoughts: Why Kite Feels Necessary, Not Optional

I think Kite is early.

Very early.

But it’s early in the right direction.

Instead of asking, How do we put AI on-chain?
