The IMF stated that the El Salvador government has agreed at the policy level to no longer actively increase its BTC holdings and is pushing for the exit of the Chivo wallet. However, the official Bitcoin office of El Salvador claims to still be "buying 1 BTC daily," and on December 22 stated that its holdings have increased to 7509 BTC.
