BlockBeats news, on December 23, CoinEx Research's chief analyst Jeff Ko stated that the typical altcoin rally may weaken next year, and only 'blue-chip' cryptocurrencies will capture most of the liquidity. 'Retail investors hoping all altcoins will benefit will be disappointed. We predict that there will not be a traditional altcoin rally season; instead, liquidity will be highly selective and will only flow to those truly recognized by the market as blue-chip stocks.'
Ko expects a mild positive outlook for global liquidity in 2026, but the divergence in central bank policies will suppress this positivity. He also added that since the launch of ETFs in 2024, Bitcoin's historical sensitivity to M2 money supply growth 'has weakened, and the correlation is decreasing.'
He also added that the company's "basic forecast is that by 2026, the target price for Bitcoin will reach $180,000."
