Binance's boss CZ recently dropped a bombshell in an AMA: the cryptocurrency that surprised him the most is actually Dogecoin! He thought this coin should have died a long time ago, but unexpectedly it not only survives well but has become a market evergreen—'all thanks to Musk keeping it alive!'
Dogecoin, a meme coin that was originally just a joke, has now skyrocketed to a market value of over 10 billion. Can you believe it? Musk can make it surge instantly just by shouting on Twitter. In contrast, the recently popular new meme coins like PEPE and LADYS, CZ directly stated, 'I don’t understand but respect,' and Binance even listed them—after all, if users want to play, the exchange opens its doors to welcome them!
However, CZ privately prefers tokens with actual utility and does not hold meme coins or NFTs. But the market doesn’t care about this; data shows that Dogecoin has long remained in the top ten by market value, with community activity crushing a bunch of 'serious projects'. Behind this, Musk's traffic buff is indispensable; it can be said that he single-handedly turned the Shiba Inu into a crypto totem.
Binance's attitude is very clear: whether I personally like it or not, the market needs it, so we support it. But investors need to be clear-headed—meme coins are about excitement, not value.
